My journey started in Palermo, a vibrant city in Sicily filled with the aromas of roasted espresso and sweet ricotta. There, my nonna baked traditional treats that became a cherished memory the moment you tasted them. 

When I was eight, we moved to the U.S. I watched my mother brilliantly recreate our heritage cakes using American ingredients, teaching me that baking isn't about rigid rules—it’s about heart.

My first solo attempt at a traditional celebration cake? A collapsed, lopsided mess! I was mortified, but my dad just smiled and ate every single crumb, proving that love tastes better than a flawless bake.

In that moment, I learned what my nonna and my mother always knew: the goal of a cake isn't looking like a masterpiece... it's creating a moment worth celebrating.

While I’m the official recipe developer and mess-maker, my husband, Leo, is my co-pilot on this journey. He’s the one who turns my kitchen creations into a beautiful, simple online experience for you.

 He’s obsessed with making this site simple to navigate on your phone while you're busy cooking, removing all the tech frustration.

When he's not tweaking the website, he’s fulfilling his other major duty: acting as our highly dedicated, chief cake taste-tester.

Completing our little team are our two wonderful children: ten-year-old Mia, who gives the final stamp of approval on every cake, and six-year-old Sam, our enthusiastic bowl-licker.
